Eve, Le Blog Best Practices

The 6th EVE International seminar starts in a few days.

Ahead of this event, that will bring together 300 new managers, both men and women, over three days of inspiration and respiration on the theme of equal leadership, the EVE blog presents 4 trailers…

First episode of this series of trailers: The EVE Program explained in 5 figures.

A community of more than 2,000 enlightened managers

Inaugurated in 2010, the International EVE Program trains 300-350 managers and directors each year in the issues of equality, sharing responsibilities and the leadership of tomorrow. Since 2014, the EVE Program has also run an “Asia-Pacific” version of its seminars.

In total, close to 2,000 participants who have experienced EVE are already forming an active community of “change makers” committed to the mission of spreading the diversity culture in their respective organizations. There will be 300 more added to their number by the end of the 6th International EVE seminar that will be held from September 29th to October 2nd.

7 official partners and 2 sponsors

The EVE Program is an intercompany seminar. Tailor made for the meeting of cultures, the constructive friction between different points of view and the sharing of good practice, this Program welcomes at least 30 representatives from 7 official partners (Caisse des Dépots Group, Crédit Agricole S.A. Group, Danone, KPMG, L’Oréal, Orange, SNCF) to its international seminars and around 10 representatives from its 2 corporate sponsors (Accor, Société Générale). Around 12 other businesses also send teams of ambassadors to Evian.

A “quota” of 25% men

The EVE Program is for men and women. Convinced from the outset that the question of professional equality and the sharing of responsibilities is not just an issue for women, EVE voluntarily worked to encourage commitment from men. It set itself the target that at least 25% of participants would be men.

Why 25%? Because that is more or less the percentage of women in senior management today. In inverting the proportion of women to men in a meeting for managers, the EVE Program wants to concretely (and in the nicest possible way) give a real life experience of being in the majority to some and being in the minority to others, with the intention of encouraging increased confidence and awareness.

25 nations represented

EVE International is well named: 25 nations are represented within it. Participants come primarily from all over France, but also from every corner of Europe, the continent of America, and Africa to participate in this Program which brings together universal values: everyone is involved, women and men, from many horizons and varied cultures, in decision making, change and building a common future.

94% of participants delighted

Each year after the seminars (EVE International and EVE Asia Pacific), the Program asks participants to complete a satisfaction questionnaire. With an average mark of 9 out of 10 in 2014, this survey confirms year on year that the EVE seminar “recipe” responds well to its audience’s demands for excellence, with a special mention for the quality of the speakers.
