Flashback to EVE Africa!

Eve, Le Blog Gender Gap, Personal development, Social Impact

The first edition of EVE Africa took place in Dakar, Senegal from December 12th to 14th 2017.

Created by Danone and L’Oréal, in partnership with BNP Paribas, Orange and Ecobank and with the support of several major international groups (Societe Generale, Engie, Veolia, Sanofi, etc.), the EVE Program leadership seminar plays an important role in the huge international movement for equality between men and women that benefits everyone and is instrumental in developing economic and social progress over the years to come.

The EVE Program first began in Evian back in 2010. It arrived in the Asia-Pacific zone in 2014 and has already brought together a community of 2,800 women and men in positions to make decisions in the business world (managers, directors, entrepreneurs, etc.) and bring about change. Through EVE, they have become stronger, more enlightened and more inspired individuals, focused on being their true selves, and developing the soft skills that are essential to our world today, which demands greater and greater agility.

With EVE Africa, the community will now include 150 more of these “change makers” who are in direct contact with the continent’s business and social developments. Africa is home to a billion future consumers and is one of the most productive locations for innovation and entrepreneurial progress.

There are almost 520 million women in Africa. Just like everywhere else, no element of sustainable prosperity – which is required for peace, the preservation of environmental ecosystems and social progress – can be achieved without them. So local and multinational organizations as well as NGOs share the challenge of bringing them into more leadership positions.

Putting its universal motto, “Be yourself to unleash your potential”, into action, the EVE Africa Program will encourage this culture of diverse and balanced leadership over the next three days, with twenty or so exceptionally influential speakers from both the continent itself and further afield.
