Advisor to large companies and founding chairman of the “Afghanistan Libre” Association

Of Franco-Afghan origin, Chékéba Hachemi was Afghanistan’s first woman diplomat to the European Union. In 2005, she became Advisor to the first Vice-President, responsible for major projects of national priority in Kabul, and then Minister-Advisor. In 2009, she resigned because of corruption in the government. Today she heads up CH Consulting which specialises in the study and design of society-based projects around the role of women in companies and helps major European groups with their philanthropic and CSR approaches, including ENGIE, L’Oréal, ELLE, NRJ group, Chérie 25 TV channel, Groupe SOS, FACE, Fondation A…

As strategy adviser to the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg since 2018, she has contributed to the organization of the international “Stand, Speak, Rise Up” conference which strives to put an end to sexual violence in fragile environments. The forum was held in Luxembourg in March 2019, in partnership with “We are not weapons of war” and the Dr. Denis Mukwege Foundation. Since then, it has become an association, of which Chékéba Hachemi is the treasurer. She campaigns alongside HRH the Grand Duchess to stamp out sexual violence in fragile environments and to stop rape being used as a weapon of war. She also created the “Guide des Expertes” for better visibility for women in the media. She has written 3 best-sellers: “Visage volé”, “Pour l’Amour de Massoud” and “L’Insolente de Kaboul”.
