Vera is Indonesia’s first and only professional female airline CEO and one of the very few female airline CEOs in the Asia Pacific. Prior to this, Vera had spent two decades in the consumer goods industry. Vera has been a prominent champion in diversity and inclusion. The UN Women ‘HeForShe’ award was given to her work in Danone driving global gender equality in the workplace in 2016. She also received the AeroTime Aviation Achievement Award in 2021 for her dedication to lead the airline through pandemic and promote equality across the industry. She founded Indonesia’s GirlsForPresident community to support young female leaders and works with local universities to help young talents participate in the global marketplace.
