Carol Bouwer
UNICEF Special Representative for Women and Children in South Africa, President and media owner
Carol Bouwer’s career started when she was chosen to lead a production in post-apartheid South Africa. She went to host many important national television shows including Ms South Africa, the national lottery and her own women’s talk show which focuses on pertinent women’s issues that reflect the evolution of South Africa since the dawn of democracy and is called Motswako. Her advocacy work for women and children saw her speak at the UN in 2017 and in 2018 at a UN General Assembly side event with the Canadian Minister. Carol is a UNICEF SA Special Advocate for Women and Children. She runs a property portfolio with her husband and her greatest calling is as a mother to her 18-year-old son, Danté.
