She was borned in Tepatepec, a small Nañu region in the State of Hidalgo, Mexico.

Former President, Vicente Fox, named her in 2000, Head of the Country’s National Commission for the Development of Indigenous People.
Since 2006 she has focused her efforts on Fundación Porvenir – Foundation for the Future – which aids malnourished children in indigenous areas of Mexico. Fundación Porvenir has presence in 10 states of the country and to the present is focused in generating permanent jobs for indigenous women.
